Description of Project :
This project concerns itself with the application of a genetic algorithm to effectively determine the optimal configuration of parameters for a given system of traffic light. This optimization solution would be scalable and be able to suggest alternative parameter configurations to aid road and city planners to devise a better and more effective overall traffic control management. A traffic light is able to represented mathematically in order to represent whole systems of interconnected traffic lights. Through optimal flow for one traffic light can be found through GA computation, the solution many erroneously lead to a local optimum only.
