We use the following simulators for our research.

The Ns-3 Network Simulator

ns-3 is a discrete-event network simulator for Internet systems, targeted primarily for research and educational use. ns-3 is free software, licensed under the GNU GPLv2 license, and is publicly available for research, development, and use.

ns-3 is intended as an eventual replacement for the popular ns-2 simulator. The project acronym “nsnam” derives historically from the concatenation of ns (network simulator) and nam (network animator).

OPNET – University Program

Design and evaluate Wimax-ZigBee hybrid network

Design and evaluate Wimax-ZigBee hybrid network

We are in the process of acquiring OPNET Modeler through OPNET University Program. OPNET solutions model communications devices, protocols, technologies, and architectures, and simulate their performance in a dynamic virtual network environment. Integrated code debugging and data analysis features facilitate the design process. OPNET Network R&D solutions enable a broad range of academic research including:

  • Evaluating and enhancing wireless protocols i.e., WiMAX, WiFi, UMTS, etc.
  • Designing MANET routing protocols
  • Studying new power management schemes for sensor networks
  • Researching new enhancements to core network technologies i.e., IPv6, MPLS, etc.
  • Analyzing optical network designs

MATLAB

MATLAB® is a high-level language and interactive environment that enables researchers to perform computationally intensive tasks faster than with traditional programming languages such as C, C++, and Fortran.

MATLAB in a wide range of applications, including signal and image processing, communications, control design, test and measurement, financial modeling and analysis, and computational biology. Add-on toolboxes (collections of special-purpose MATLAB functions, available separately) extend the MATLAB environment to solve particular classes of problems in these application areas.

Can you recommend the best Endpoint Security software out there?
I scanned the web and got the following:
    Kaseya.com
    Logmein.com

They all look different… Does anyone has other suggestions?
As well had anybody else try that software:
